Role
Canva is hiring an AI Localisation Program Manager (12-month fixed-term contract) to own the program that delivers GenAI localisation across languages. This technical program management role coordinates product, research, country teams, evaluation specialists and external partners to turn a broad localisation challenge into a clear, executable plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end program for Canva’s GenAI localisation goal, holding the plan, timeline and stakeholders together.
- Design and support evaluation operations at scale, including human review pipelines (using Label Studio) and foundations for automated evaluations.
- Manage contingent labeller workforce and external vendors: capacity planning, onboarding and quality standards.
- Partner with GenAI evaluation teams to define localisation quality metrics and what “good” looks like.
- Build lightweight dashboards and tooling to track quality and surface issues; comfortable doing quick prototyping (“vibe-coding”) to reach a working view.
- Analyse localisation quality data, identify patterns and translate findings into actionable recommendations for technical teams.
- Communicate progress, risks and decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- Strong program or operations leadership with a track record of bringing order to ambiguous, cross-functional challenges.
- Experience running complex cross-functional programs where success depended on influencing people you do not directly manage.
- Comfortable with data and AI concepts (LLM evaluation, RAG, BLEU, COMET) to collaborate credibly with technical teams.
- Experience managing reviewer workforces and external vendors while maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver AI or transformation programs from 0-to-1 at enterprise scale.
- Preferred backgrounds: technical program management, AI program/transformation, principal program management, or product operations.
- Speaking multiple languages is a strong bonus.
Contract & Location
- 12 month fixed-term contract.
