Role
Booksy is hiring an AI Native Software Engineer within the People & Culture team to discover and build novel AI capabilities that solve unasked problems in People Technology. This is a hands-on role that combines experimentation, prototyping, and shipping production features with an agent-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead experiments to discover new AI-first use cases beyond known applications.
- Build proofs of concept and convert them into shippable features.
- Ship AI-first features from ideation to launch using agentic workflows rather than retrofitting AI onto existing tools.
- Collaborate across Product & Tech and partner with engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Work with a mentor in the engineering organisation and align career leveling to engineering tracks.
Requirements
- Commercial experience in software engineering or another technical role.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, and Cursor.
- Working understanding of agentic workflows and concepts like MCP.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Python or JavaScript.
- A portfolio, open-source contribution, or project you can present.
- Fluency in English (company language for business-wide communications).
Preferred
- Visible open-source contribution history.
- Experience building beyond tutorials with agentic frameworks or MCP-based solutions.
- Exposure to Google Cloud.
