AI Operations Lead (w/m/d)
Explicitly requires vibe coding skills and works with internal vibe-coding stakeholders; builds and operates agentic coding pipelines and automations.
About the Role
Lead the operationalization and governance of Everphone's central AI infrastructure, partnering with DevOps and engineering leadership to build a self-governing, secure, and measurable agentic coding platform. Enable squads and non-technical builders to safely deploy AI-driven automations by implementing guardrails, automated quality and security gates, and platform-level data governance.
Job Description
Role
The AI Operations Lead will drive execution of Everphone’s internal AI strategy by operating and evolving a central AI infrastructure and agentic coding pipeline across engineering squads. As an individual contributor and architectural sparring partner to senior engineering leadership, you will implement platform guardrails, automated quality and security gates, and governance so the platform can self-govern along a Measure · Document · Govern model.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and scale the central agentic coding pipeline and platform tools with a focus on throughput and code quality.
- Translate squad engineering requirements into common foundations and maintain a central registry and automated documentation.
- Implement platform-level data rails, including automated PII masking, role-based keys via Hasura, and secure environment routing.
- Analyze and optimize the SDLC to build automated quality gates, implementer/reviewer loops, and agent harnesses.
- Build and use dashboards to track domain-specific metrics (AI-committed code ratios, bug frequencies, cycle times, domain token costs).
- Roll out an AI-native platform operating model and enable engineering and non-technical builders to move prototype automations into production.
- Integrate automated compliance scans (SAST/SCA) into pipelines, support audit readiness, and investigate security vulnerabilities.
- Serve as an engineering sparring partner for leadership and perform deep-dive debugging across a microservice landscape (Go, TypeScript, PHP) when needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience overall, including 1–2 years at a staff/principal level.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Gemini CLI, Junie, GitHub Copilot) and practical experience with vibe coding workflows that automate SDLC steps end-to-end.
- Experience building at least one MCP server and familiarity with REST and GraphQL endpoint design.
- Systems architecture experience across microservices and the ability to trace and debug cross-system issues.
- Solid coding and debugging skills in Go and TypeScript/React; ability to read and debug PHP.
- Concept-level cloud experience with at least one major provider (IAM, networking, managed services, provisioning) and familiarity with relational databases.
- Security fundamentals, including familiarity with OWASP Top 10, GDPR/PII concerns, and ISO 27001 concepts.
- Strong cross-functional communication and change management skills; pragmatic, fast, and delivery-oriented.
Benefits
- Hybrid work model with flexible workplace and a “workation” policy (work from abroad 1 month/year).
- Device and hardware perks: choose a phone for private/professional use, laptop of choice, adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs.
- Dog-friendly office, healthy snacks, coffee and soft drinks, weekly company lunches and breakfasts, casual Friday drinks, summer and winter parties.
- Well-being: mental health support through Voiio, subsidized Urban Sports Club memberships, annual flu shots and eye tests.
- 30 days of paid vacation per year.
- Company pension plan.
- Extras vouchers through Circula (up to 50€) and a 348€ yearly public transportation subsidy in Germany.
- Learning programs: Everphone Academy, EverLearn platform, language classes (German and English) paid, internal learning sessions and workshops.
