Role
Gruve is hiring an AI Vibe-Coding Engineer to rapidly transform ideas into working prototypes and internal tools using AI-assisted development tools. The role focuses on building LLM-powered applications, AI workflows, MCP server integrations, and lightweight full-stack demos that enable rapid product experimentation and developer productivity improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype applications and proofs-of-concept using AI-assisted coding tools
- Build and iterate on LLM-powered applications and AI workflows
- Use tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Replit AI, and ChatGPT
- Design and integrate MCP servers, APIs, and AI agents
- Develop lightweight full-stack applications with modern frameworks
- Experiment with prompts, workflows, and AI orchestration patterns
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to convert ideas into demos quickly
- Optimize developer productivity via automation and AI tooling
- Stay current with emerging AI engineering trends and frameworks
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience
- Strong expertise in LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Proficient programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, or Node.js
- Experience with React/Next.js, REST APIs, microservices, and Git/GitHub
- Hands-on experience with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, AI agents, and MCP architectures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building GenAI applications and integrating enterprise systems with AI workflows
- Familiarity with vector databases and embeddings
- Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong product intuition and a rapid experimentation mindset
Compensation & Employment
- Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 USD
- Hiring options: W-2 employee contracted to a client or Corp-to-Corp contractor
