APM Practice Lead, Contingent Worker

Role

Temporary APM Practice Lead supporting the TFS Chief Product Officer organization to design and implement application inventory management routines and serve as the System of Record lead for the application portfolio. The role emphasizes data integrity, application-to-capability mapping, health and criticality assessments, and portfolio governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement application inventory management routines, including application-to-capability mapping with Enterprise Architecture, application criticality classification and health assessment.
• Define a data dictionary for application assets and consolidate existing Systems of Record into a unified portfolio view.
• Ensure periodic certification by application owners and maintain data integrity across upstream and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with solution architects and principal engineers to design processes and governance controls.
• Manage portfolio oversight, risk, audit and regulatory requirements related to application portfolio management.
• Identify compliance risks (outdated technology, lack of controls, non-compliant vendors) and recommend remediation such as retiring risky applications or implementing controls.
• Provide analytics and insights on portfolio performance and compliance status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Support application lifecycle management governance routines and foster cross-functional collaboration across product, business and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or IT, or equivalent education and related training.
• 10+ years of leadership, enterprise technology and operations experience.
• Strong experience with IT strategy, portfolio management, application asset management and application lifecycle management.
• Ability to build productivity tools (Vibe coding, PowerApps, AWS Kiro or similar tools).
• Expertise in strategic planning, change management, program management, and initiative execution.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills for executive engagement.
• Knowledge of current and emerging IT trends and best practices in portfolio and application management.

Preferred

• Experience in top-tier banking or large financial institutions.
• Understanding of key banking solutions and enterprise technology stacks.
• Visionary thinking about future technology trends, strong negotiation and influence skills, high emotional intelligence, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Contract Details

• Duration: 8-month contract.
• Location: Plano, Texas. Shift: 9 AM to 5 PM. No travel required.
• Work authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder; no sponsorship available.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour.
