Role
Applied AI Engineer focused on building AI-native systems for BJAK’s AI Finance Agent. This is a builder role that emphasizes production ownership: turning prototypes into scalable automation that improves product workflows and reduces manual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered workflows, assistants, agents and automation systems.
- Apply AI across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, operations and internal tools.
- Integrate LLMs, internal data, APIs, documents, knowledge bases and business systems.
- Design evaluation, monitoring and fallback flows to ensure AI outputs are useful, safe and reliable.
- Prototype quickly, test with users or operators, and productionize successful solutions.
- Improve speed, quality and consistency across workflows where AI provides real business value.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation, preferably with Python and backend systems.
- Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs, agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), workflow automation or similar AI tools.
- Ability to connect AI systems with product, data and operational workflows.
- Good judgment on when to use AI vs rule-based systems or human review.
- Understanding of evaluation metrics, accuracy, latency, cost, privacy and failure modes.
- Fast prototyping and productization skills; focus on practical, measurable impact.
- Strong English communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience in fintech, insurance, support automation, CRM or operations automation.
