Role
Microsoft is hiring an Architect, Apps & AI to lead the technical execution and delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary client engagements. The role acts as a strategic technical anchor between clients, leadership, and delivery teams, embedding AI‑first principles and Copilot‑assisted engineering practices into delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
- Embed AI‑first delivery workflows and GitHub Copilot‑assisted engineering across the SDLC to accelerate design, coding, testing, and documentation.
- Drive engineering excellence through reusable components, accelerators, coding standards, TDD, observability, and CI/CD practices.
- Oversee technical execution across multiple projects, enforce quality, compliance, and secure coding practices, and recover at‑risk engagements.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders on strategy, delivery plans, risk mitigation, pre‑sales activities, estimates, and proofs‑of‑concept.
- Lead, mentor, and build cross‑functional teams; promote inner‑source, platform engineering, and developer productivity improvements.
Requirements
- 20+ years in software/solution engineering with at least 10–15 years in architecture and delivery leadership roles.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, and team leadership skills; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, secure coding, and enterprise compliance practices.
- Proven track record leading delivery of multi‑disciplinary, cloud‑native, and AI‑enabled solutions.
