Associate Software Engineering Manager

Role

Associate Software Engineering Manager responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and microservices, optimizing large-scale data processing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using React, Core Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize Spring Batch jobs for large-scale data processing.
• Develop and maintain microservices with REST APIs and messaging patterns.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement secure, scalable, and high-performing backend components.

AI Builder Responsibilities

• Use GenAI tools (Copilot, Claude, Gemini AI) to ideate, prototype, and implement features.
• Apply vibe coding techniques to maintain expressive, AI-augmented codebases.
• Develop internal tools and scripts using AI to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity.
• Stay current with emerging GenAI trends, tools, and ethical considerations.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Primary skills: Java (Core Java), React, UI automation testing, Spring Boot, Kafka, rules and data analysis.
• Database: MongoDB, MySQL.
• AI: experience integrating AI into backend services and POC experience with real-world examples.
• Build tools and cloud: Git Actions, AWS (cloud developer experience) and understanding of API Gateway.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
