Role
The AVP - Tech Lead will lead AWS-focused software development initiatives with an emphasis on scalability, security, and cost efficiency. This hands-on role designs and deploys serverless solutions and containerized workloads, automates infrastructure using IaC, implements Generative AI solutions, and coordinates across product, business, InfoSec, and Data Architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of serverless solutions (Lambda, Step Functions) and containerized workloads on EKS.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform and maintain infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows for reliable deployments.
- Implement Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock and manage AI agents.
- Ensure adherence to architecture standards, development processes, security practices, and quality controls.
- Oversee full development lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Drive project planning, prioritization, and cross-team coordination; communicate with stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation and mentor engineering teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong AWS experience, including Lambda, Step Functions, and EKS.
- Terraform experience (must-have).
- Python knowledge preferred; deep knowledge of Core Java and JEE noted as a plus.
- 5+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- 3+ years working with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS).
- 3+ years working knowledge of CI/CD tools and DVCS (Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.).
- 3+ years’ experience with microservices and RESTful services, JSON/XML, and RDBMS (PostgreSQL).
- Strong project management, stakeholder communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Experience working with enterprise-level standards, security, and cost optimization.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience with vibe coding tools (Cursor, Copilot).
- Experience with AWS Bedrock and deploying AI agents.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms (Camunda) and event streaming (Kafka).
- Knowledge of CloudFormation and SAM.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour.
