Join Vibe's Integrations team as a Backend Engineer to design and build integrations, data pipelines, and a public developer platform enabling partners to connect to Vibe via APIs. You will own integration projects end-to-end, work on reliability and scale, and use AI-augmented development to accelerate delivery.

Role
Vibe is hiring a Backend Engineer on the Integrations team to own the data flowing in and out of the platform and to help build a first-class Developer Platform and public API. You’ll ship integrations with external partners, design reliable pipelines, and build developer-facing infrastructure and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrations with external platforms, CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners.
- Own integration projects end-to-end from scoping to production with minimal hand-holding.
- Collaborate directly with external partners to define and validate data contracts.
- Build infrastructure for Vibe’s public API, including account, advertiser, and campaign management endpoints.
- Develop documentation, monitoring, and tooling to improve the developer experience.
- Contribute to gateway and authentication layers that expose Vibe’s capabilities externally.
- Identify bottlenecks in pipelines and rebuild systems to handle growing data volume.
- Write maintainable, reviewable code and actively use AI tooling to accelerate development and close quality gaps.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience shipping production-grade software in TypeScript and Python.
- Comfortable across the full stack: APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure (AWS, Terraform).
- Exposure to low-level programming concepts; C or C++ experience is a plus.
- Startup or high-ownership background; ability to operate autonomously and own outcomes.
- Strong instincts for code quality and experience giving and receiving feedback in reviews.
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience building or maintaining third-party integrations (ETL, webhooks, REST/GraphQL APIs).
- Familiarity with GCP or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience designing or contributing to developer-facing platforms or public APIs.
Compensation & Location
- For candidates in New York, NY the pay range is $196,000–$265,000 (local candidates). Compensation for candidates elsewhere is determined based on local market levels.
- Hybrid flexibility: team in NYC’s Flatiron District is in the office 3x per week; candidates elsewhere may be considered.
