About the Role
As a Business Development Manager you will optimize lead steering, reduce funnel drop-offs and build alternative sales funnels to increase conversion and revenue. Business Development Manager focused on optimizing lead steering and booking processes to increase conversion rates and revenue. The role combines strategic analysis with hands-on implementation and high cross-functional impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lead-steering mechanisms to prioritize and distribute leads effectively
- Develop and test products/processes to reactivate lost leads and address funnel drop-offs
- Build and scale alternative sales funnels
- Analyze and optimize booking and closing processes to improve conversion and throughput time
- Define, track and interpret funnel and performance KPIs
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive concrete improvement measures
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product (including CPO and CSO)
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Strong academic background (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or similar quantitative studies)
- Proven impact from prior roles; experience in consulting, VC/PE, venture building, startups/scale-ups is a plus
- Hands-on mentality with operational implementation experience
- Experience or exposure to Sales and/or Marketing, especially in funnel or performance contexts
- Ideally experience developing with AI (Vibe Coding is explicitly mentioned) or implementing AI solutions
- Fluent German (spoken and written)
