Explicitly requires vibe-coding and automation with Claude; emphasizes fast experimentation and using AI tools to optimize workflows.
About the Role
Terac is hiring a Campus Ambassador to engage academic communities, distribute Terac credits to research labs, and drive adoption of its expert marketplace. The role focuses on event sponsorship, technical storytelling, and community outreach while collaborating with the SF research team.
Job Description
Role
Terac seeks a Campus Ambassador (Academia) to work on campus distributing Terac credits to research labs and driving adoption of Terac’s human-labor marketplace via API. You will represent Terac at academic events, organize technical activities, and communicate the platform’s capabilities to researchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own academic event sponsorships, speaking submissions, and conference presence from strategy through execution.
- Organize technical roundtables, sponsor hackathons, engage in Hugging Face and Discord communities, and distribute technical white papers.
- Translate platform capabilities into researcher-focused technical storytelling (e.g., RLHF, adversarial testing workflows) rather than high-level product marketing.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with the SF research team and C-suite.
Requirements
- Currently a master’s or PhD student and active member of your school’s research community.
- Strong community engagement and event marketing experience in academic/technical settings.
- Ability to do technical storytelling for researchers and discuss topics like RLHF and adversarial testing workflows.
- Data-driven mindset: familiarity with marketplace metrics (LTV, CAC) and measuring impact of initiatives.
- High agency and bias to action; comfortable experimenting, measuring outcomes, and iterating.
- Comfortable with rapid tooling and automation (“vibe-coding”) and adopting new AI tools to optimize workflows.
Compensation & Perks
- Monthly stipend plus a budget to host events and commissions for experts onboarded from your campus.
- Compensation Range: $0 - $20,000 (total range mentioned).
- Remote work with quarterly all-hands in downtown San Francisco.
- Growth opportunity to join Terac full-time upon graduation; participation in company hackathons and weekly presentations.
Logistics
- This role operates remotely with periodic, mandatory in-person all-hands in San Francisco (quarterly).
- Regular communication with Terac’s SF research team and executive leadership.
