Job Description
Role
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager specialized in data and AI to lead product strategy and delivery for AppDirect’s AI-enabled SaaS offerings. The role drives the full product lifecycle—from roadmap and strategy to technical design, engineering collaboration, launch and iteration—focused on analytics, automation and customer productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the lifecycle of data and AI products: strategy, roadmap, design, launch and iteration.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to inform prioritization, product decisions and success metrics.
- Translate cutting-edge AI research (e.g., transformers, reinforcement learning) into scalable SaaS features and production-ready solutions.
- Collaborate tightly with engineering and data science to produce technical specifications and ensure successful implementation.
- Communicate product vision, strategy and status to non-technical stakeholders, executives and customers.
- Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, validate needs and drive adoption.
- Rapid prototyping and “vibe coding”: create quick proofs of concept, mockups and demos using collaborative and low-code tools to validate ideas prior to formal specs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience focused on data, analytics or AI in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
- Proven track record launching data- and AI-driven products that solve real customer problems and drive measurable adoption.
- Experience across the AI/ML product lifecycle: data acquisition, model training, deployment and monitoring.
- Strong fundamentals in data modeling, integration, ETL pipelines and analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for enterprise SaaS or marketplace solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data exploration, dashboarding (Looker, Tableau) and A/B testing.
- Strong user empathy and ability to translate AI concepts into clear product value for stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, UX, marketing).
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience developing an ML/AI model from PoC to widely adopted production product.
- Experience monetizing data or integrating AI to enhance commercial offerings and revenue growth.
- Practical prototyping experience with tools like Replit, Lovable.dev, Windsurf or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Experience with large language models (OpenAI GPT, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Grok, Gemini).
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras) and MLOps platforms (AWS Bedrock, MLflow, Databricks, Google Cloud Vertex AI, AWS SageMake).
- Relevant cloud/AI/ML certifications (e.g., AWS ML Specialty, Google ML Engineer).
Location & Language
- Remote position (#LI-REMOTE). Candidate must have strong English skills to collaborate with teams in the United States, India, Argentina and Canadian provinces (Ontario, Alberta).
