About the Role
Infosys is hiring a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design and implement infrastructure automation and provisioning across on-premises and public cloud environments. The role focuses on writing Terraform modules, developing Jenkins pipelines, vRealize automation blueprints, and supporting monitoring and containerization, based in Sydney/Melbourne with hybrid flexible working.

Role
Cloud DevOps Engineer responsible for infrastructure automation, provisioning and lifecycle management of VM workloads across on-prem and public cloud.
Location & Salary
- Location: Sydney / Melbourne (hybrid, flexible arrangements reviewed case-by-case)
- Salary: AUD 108,571–119,893 Annual Gross (indicative)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop code (JavaScript) and blueprints for vRealize Automation/Orchestrator to support provisioning, deprovisioning and VM lifecycle.
- Write Terraform modules and, where required, uplift providers to provision infrastructure across on-prem and public cloud.
- Contribute to automation pipelines in Jenkins (Groovy) and write scripts in PowerShell.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines: deploy, monitor and troubleshoot Jenkins pipelines.
- Write design and supporting documentation.
- Work with infrastructure-as-code patterns, managing Terraform state and troubleshooting templates.
- Use monitoring tools (Splunk or Dynatrace) to support DevOps pipelines.
- Support containerization efforts using Kubernetes.
- Build tools that consume RESTful APIs.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in IT or equivalent.
- Comfortable with multiple programming/scripting languages, with emphasis on infrastructure automation (JavaScript, PowerShell, Groovy).
- Experience with standard developer workflows around Git.
- Basic understanding of virtualization and public cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking principles).
- Knowledge of Terraform, Terraform state management, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitoring experience (Splunk or Dynatrace).
- Experience working on large projects and strong customer interfacing skills.
Preferred / Additional Skills & Certifications
- vRealize Automation / Orchestrator
- Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket
- HashiCorp tools such as Terraform Enterprise, Vault, Packer
- ITIL certification and other industry-recognized IT certifications are advantageous
