Drive strategy, rapid prototyping with AI-assisted coding, and cross-functional delivery to produce audit-ready sustainability reporting and decarbonization tools.
Job Description
Role
Lead the product strategy and delivery of AI-powered capabilities for Pulsora’s enterprise sustainability (ESG) platform. Translate sustainability use cases and regulatory requirements into AI product specifications, drive rapid prototyping using AI-assisted coding tools, and own end-to-end product development to deliver compliant, audit-ready sustainability reporting and decarbonization features.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a product strategy that integrates AI capabilities with sustainability regulations, frameworks, and standards.
- Partner with applied AI engineers to scope, design, and ship LLM-powered features (agent workflows, RAG, intelligent assistants).
- Rapidly prototype and build proof-of-concept applications and internal tools using AI-assisted coding tools to validate ideas and de-risk engineering investment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across global and regional sustainability standards and maintain mappings between different standards.
- Shape capabilities for GHG accounting (Scopes 1–3), target setting and tracking (e.g., SBTi, CDP), and audit-ready data lineage.
- Engage clients as a subject matter expert during onboarding, training, and ongoing platform usage.
- Gather requirements from customers and stakeholders and prioritize features with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams.
- Establish KPIs and AI evaluation frameworks (quality, accuracy, consistency, failure modes) and iterate using data-driven insights.
- Conduct market analysis of sustainability regulations, AI tools, and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer success, legal, and global teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, computer science, engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record (3+ years) in product management, strategy consulting, or sustainability analyst roles with direct sustainability or regulatory experience.
- Deep familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards (examples in the role: GRI, SASB, TCFD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, EDCI, CSRD, GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP).
- Working knowledge of GHG accounting (Scopes 1, 2, 3), ISO 14064, emission factor sourcing, and activity/spend/supplier-based methodologies.
- Familiarity with assurance and audit practices (ISAE 3000/3410, AA1000AS) and requirements for data lineage and controls.
- Understanding of decarbonization strategies (science-based target setting, CDP disclosures, marginal abatement costs, scenario analysis).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Replit) to build prototypes or internal tools; comfortable shipping software with AI assistance.
- Working knowledge of LLM application patterns (prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, agent workflows) and major LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini).
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to operate in ambiguous, regulated environments.
- Experience in agile development environments and familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Willingness to work with global teams and outside regular hours to coordinate with offshore teams (e.g., India).
Compensation & Location
- Compensation range provided: CA$60,000 - CA$70,000.
- Role listed for Canada. The company notes hybrid-friendly work environment and in-office expectations (2–3 times per week) for employees in New York, San Francisco Bay Area, and Munich.
Notes
- The role emphasizes both domain expertise in sustainability regulations and practical, hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate product discovery and delivery.
