About the Role

Role
Security Consultant on the Cybersecurity Platforms Operations team responsible for operation and lifecycle management of security infrastructure and hands-on support for a broad range of security technologies (firewalls, web/email security, VPNs, anti-DDoS, IAM).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support and lifecycle management for security infrastructure within established security programs, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and support special events for critical security services.
- Perform configuration changes during maintenance windows and support critical investigations and incident response.
- Contribute to assigned portfolios and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Participate in risk assessments and conduct compliance checks.
- Drive continuous improvement of security posture in partnership with automation and monitoring teams.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma/certification with 3–5 years of equivalent experience.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CISSP or equivalent technical security certification.
- Intermediate proficiency in information security and networking technologies.
- Proficient with command-line interfaces, scripting languages, and network administration.
- Experience with network and application security, IPS and DDoS platforms, firewall platforms, VPNs, IAM, and monitoring/logging tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience in fast-paced operational environments and participation in on-call rotations.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain Government of Canada security clearance.

- Experience with multiple security vendor technologies.
- Vibe coding/scripting, lab experience, and demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning.
Compensation & Location
- Salary Range: $57,000 - $105,000 (currency not specified).
- Performance Bonus / Sales Incentive Plan: 10%.
