Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data products and processing pipelines that support dentsu’s marketing vision. The role emphasizes cloud and big-data technologies, rapid feature delivery using AI-assisted coding, and collaboration with internal and client teams to deliver data analysis features and production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Agile methodologies and AI tools to enable rapid feature releases
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new solutions and technologies, including contributions to Snowflake Native App development
- Design, implement, test, review, and deliver data solutions with CI/CD best practices
- Implement quality assurance and thorough testing for data pipelines and features
- Write clear user and technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations, onboard clients, and liaise with client teams
- Foster a collaborative team environment and support client solution teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Strong database fundamentals and SQL skills; understanding of relational and non-relational data models
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java or Python)
- Knowledge of big data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake preferred; Hadoop is a plus)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP, Azure)
- Experience with data processing workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks)
- Proficient in Agile development, SDLC, testing methodologies, CI/CD, and issue tracking
- Experience with code repositories and version control (Git, Bitbucket)
- Unix command line proficiency and Bash scripting
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under urgency
