Data Scientist II
Explicitly mentions "semantic vibe coding" and semantic coding techniques; uses AI assistants like GitHub Copilot and focuses on semantic analysis for ML.
About the Role
eSimplicity is hiring a Data Scientist II to design, implement, and evaluate statistical and AI/ML solutions (including semantic analysis and NLP) to extract actionable insights and improve product safety decision-making in cloud environments. The role emphasizes model interpretability, efficiency, and deployment in Azure-based systems while working in Agile teams supporting U.S. federal clients.
Job Description
Role
eSimplicity is seeking a Data Scientist II to support a data analytics team focused on building statistical and AI/ML solutions (including semantic analysis and product-similarity models) to surface actionable insights and improve product safety decision-making. The role requires designing, implementing, evaluating, and operationalizing models in modern cloud environments with an emphasis on interpretability, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply semantic coding techniques to uncover patterns from structured and unstructured data.
- Translate complex data into clear narratives through data storytelling and visualization.
- Design, implement, and maintain AI approaches and predictive models (supervised and unsupervised) for anomaly detection, classification, regression, and pattern recognition.
- Conduct rigorous model evaluation using metrics such as precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC to ensure reliability and fairness.
- Explore emerging technologies and novel methodologies to improve efficiency and solution quality.
- Use modern development and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, automated pipelines, CI/CD) to streamline workflows.
- Optimize workflows for scalability in cloud environments (Azure).

- Must be able to obtain U.S. Federal Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship or specific residency/visa conditions apply).
- 2+ years developing statistical and AI/ML models and building regression, classification, NLP, and other predictive analytics models.
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Python (including libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- 2+ years working in modern cloud environments (Azure); certifications are advantageous.
- 2+ years experience with SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Proficiency with dashboard visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent).
- Experience integrating semantic coding techniques into ML workflows.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for data storytelling.
- Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development.
- Ability to collaborate in Agile teams and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
