Role
Kernel seeks a DevRel Engineer to create open-source tools, libraries, demos, and SDKs that improve developer experience for an AI agent platform. The role is hands-on and splits time between coding (~50%) and helping developers succeed through solutions engineering, community engagement, and content.
Key Responsibilities
- Build OSS tools, libraries, demos, and integrations to enhance Kernel’s developer experience
- Support enterprise customers with hands-on solutions engineering
- Engage with developers on GitHub, Slack, and Twitter; answer questions and amplify projects
- Contribute educational and technical content to Kernel’s technical blog
- Influence product, culture, and direction as an early/founding team member
Requirements
- Strong engineering background with experience shipping tools and projects
- Experience with open source development and SDKs
- Developer relations / community engagement skills and the ability to communicate with engineers
- Solutions-oriented mindset and experience supporting customers or developer teams
- Comfortable working in small, high-impact teams and contributing to product direction
