Role
You will serve as a Storytelling & Brand Messaging Strategist responsible for defining brand narratives, messaging hierarchies, tone-of-voice guides, and content frameworks that align with user needs and business goals. This is a client-facing role where you’ll lead relationships, shape content strategies, and ensure messaging performs across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft compelling brand narratives, messaging hierarchies, tone-of-voice guides, and content frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with clients to uncover brand differentiation and translate it into audience-facing messaging.
- Serve as the strategic partner and main point of contact for clients; lead monthly meetings, reporting calls, and regular check-ins.
- Develop and guide website copy, landing pages, blog content, and other content assets with an SEO focus.
- Ensure content is optimized for performance while maintaining a human, brand-driven voice; stay current on SEO best practices and AI/LLM developments.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross-team communication; produce clear, actionable reporting on results.
- Provide light web support, primarily content implementation and updates in WordPress and structuring web content with UX in mind.
Requirements
- Proven experience crafting brand messaging and SEO-optimized content.
- Strong storytelling, strategic thinking, and communication skills; ability to listen, ask incisive questions, and translate business goals into content plans.
- Experience managing client relationships and running projects from strategy through execution.
- Basic WordPress knowledge (content implementation and editing; not heavy coding).
- Familiarity with SEO tools and trends, and awareness of AI/LLM-driven content developments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn.
Bonus Qualifications
- Background in journalism, copywriting, marketing, or UX writing.
- Experience using Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Surfer.
Compensation & Logistics
- Contract role, part-time (expected 10–30 hours per week).
- Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.
- Remote work.
