Role
Digital Transformation Analyst (Undergraduate) — build digital dashboards, lightweight applications, and web-based tools that support decision-making across real power plants and energy assets. Work directly with operational data to increase transparency, reduce manual effort, and enable data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build digital dashboards and tools to support decision-making across power plants and energy assets
- Connect, clean, and transform operational data from multiple systems into meaningful insights
- Develop lightweight applications, prototypes, and web-based tools to solve business problems quickly
- Collaborate with engineers and site teams to translate operational challenges into practical digital solutions
- Improve existing processes by increasing transparency and enabling better performance tracking
- Take ownership from concept to working solution within short timeframes and contribute to a fast-evolving, experimental digital environment
Requirements
Essential
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform / Power BI and a good understanding of data visualisation principles
- Basic knowledge of HTML and exposure to how web applications are structured
- Strong interest in building usable solutions (not just analysis)
- Fast learner comfortable picking up new technologies and tools
- Proactive, self-driven mindset with structured problem-solving ability
- Willingness to iterate quickly and experiment; curiosity about AI-enabled development (“vibe coding”)
Desirable
- Interest in AI tools and how they can accelerate development and problem-solving
- Understanding of how digitalisation can improve business processes and decision-making
- Willingness to occasionally visit operational sites to gain real-world context
Location
The role can be based at either the Birmingham or Nottingham office.
