Role
Director-level AI Product Manager responsible for defining and delivering how generative AI is integrated into S&P Global’s Software and Lending product suites. The role sets the AI vision, prioritizes initiatives, drives prototyping and validation, and represents AI strategy to senior leadership and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Set a clear, enterprise-aligned vision for AI across Software and Lending products.
- Influence senior leadership on investment and resource allocation decisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team; act as an expert escalation point.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of complex AI initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Pioneer rapid prototyping and validation of AI concepts using advanced tools and AI-assisted development.
- Articulate AI strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure quality value creation and alignment with enterprise strategy and governance.
Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience in AI product management, technical product management, or a related field, with expertise in financial services/fintech.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets or relevant domains (reference data, corporate actions, loan lifecycle, lending, compliance).
- Hands-on experience with generative AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Gemini) and building prototypes or functional apps using AI-assisted tools; comfortable with “vibe coding.”
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; ability to present complex AI concepts across audiences.
- Willingness to attend at least one in-person interview at a local S&P Global office for external candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading technical teams (data science or AI engineering).
- Familiarity with roadmap and sprint tools (Aha!, Azure DevOps, Jira) and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
- Knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks, AI governance, and enterprise AI risk frameworks.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, PMP, CSPO, AWS/GCP AI certifications).
