Senior product leader responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Coupang's Search & Discovery products, driving execution of OKRs and delivering ML/AI-enabled search and recommendation experiences at scale. The role leads product strategy, partners with engineering and business stakeholders, mentors PMs, and uses data-driven insights and prototyping with LLMs to improve search relevance and personalization.

Role
Director-level Product Manager leading a key area within Coupang’s Search & Discovery organization. Owns vision, strategy, and roadmap for search and recommendation experiences, with responsibility for defining OKRs, driving execution, and delivering measurable customer impact at large scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Search.
- Drive quarterly planning and day-to-day execution to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define OKRs and prioritize work that unlocks growth.
- Define input and output metrics; perform deep data analysis to generate actionable insights and improve search relevance and personalization.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking against global best practices.
- Communicate and align across cross-functional stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Participate in hiring, interview candidates, provide performance feedback, and mentor product managers.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in ML product management, including defining and executing product vision.
- Experience with Search/Ads or large-scale ML systems.
- Hands-on experience with vibe coding and building prototypes using LLMs.
- MBA plus Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and execution skills; data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and business judgment skills.
- Bias for action and willingness to dive into tactical details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Search/Ads ML.
- Experience launching and scaling consumer-facing products, ecommerce experience a plus.
- Experience working with teams across multiple geographies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $232,000/year to $290,000/year.
- Other compensation may include bonuses, equity, or other forms of additional pay.
