Hands-on E‑Commerce Manager to own and optimize two Shopify storefronts (Canada and US), combining deep Shopify admin and theme skills with marketing, merchandising, and conversion optimization. Build and automate solutions (Liquid/HTML/CSS and quick 'vibe-code' tools), run Shopify Plus features, manage catalogs and wholesale/B2B experiences, and measure improvements across traffic, conversion, AOV and operations.

Role
You will own and operate two Shopify storefronts (Canada and the US) end-to-end, working hands-on across the Shopify admin, themes, catalogs, apps, pricing and checkout. This is a build-and-optimize role: you will run daily operations, lead merchandising and conversion efforts, and deliver measurable revenue and margin improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Run both Shopify stores day to day: themes, navigation, collections, templates, and customer journey from first click to checkout.
- Use Shopify Plus features including B2B catalogs, customer-specific pricing, markets, and customized checkout flows.
- Maintain a large product catalog: descriptions, images, specs, variants, metafields, and tiered pricing.
- Own the app stack: select, configure, and retire apps as needed.
- Perform light theme work and troubleshooting using Liquid, HTML and CSS; brief developers for larger tasks.
- Lead merchandising strategy across collections, product pages and category pages to prioritize what customers see and when.
- Drive conversion rate optimization: form hypotheses, run A/B tests, and ship improvements that move conversion, revenue and average order value.
- Build small tools, scripts and AI helpers (vibe-code) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
- Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code) regularly to assist development and discovery as search evolves.
- Own discounts, promotions and price lists across markets and customer groups; ensure promotions are correct and converting.
- Improve the wholesale/bulk-order experience for trade buyers including account pricing and minimum order logic.
- Maintain integrations with backend systems (CRM, ERP, fulfillment) to ensure clean order flows.
- Report regularly on metrics that matter: traffic, conversion, AOV and site speed; work with operations on inventory and shipping logic.
Requirements
- 3+ years running a Shopify store in a commercial setting; experience with Shopify Plus is strongly preferred.
- Deep comfort with Shopify admin: products, collections, metafields, discounts, markets and app ecosystem.
- Practical experience with Liquid, HTML and CSS; able to customize, troubleshoot and build lightweight automations without always relying on developers.
- Strong marketing mindset: able to craft plans with clear strategy and measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in A/B testing, UX and conversion rate optimization with measurable results.
- Interest in consumer psychology and the drivers of purchase behavior.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT daily and applying them to store tasks and automation.
- Detail-oriented with discipline to keep promotions and pricing clean and profitable.
Reporting and Timeline
- Reports to the CEO and collaborates cross-functionally with CSR, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, Sales and Ecom.
- Expected first-6-month outcomes include: rapid understanding of both stores and app stack, measurable conversion improvements, smoother wholesale experience, and stores performing reliably on revenue and margin.
Location & Other
- Work location: In person (Coquitlam, BC). Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting is preferred.
- Candidates will be required to complete a skills test as part of the application process.
- Compensation range: $50,000.00–$90,000.00 per year (as listed).
