Role
The Electrical Engineer supports the design and execution of electrical engineering projects for industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facilities. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, the engineer prepares design deliverables, performs calculations and system studies, selects equipment, coordinates across disciplines, and maintains project documentation to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare load lists, single-line diagrams (SLDs), power layouts, and related electrical drawings.
- Perform equipment and conductor sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit (SCC), conduit/tray fill, earthing & bonding, and lighting calculations per NEC/NFPA 70 and local requirements.
- Assist in specifying LV/MV switchgear, transformers, generators, MCCs, and UPS systems.
- Support power system studies and modeling in SKM / Easypower (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Coordination, Arc Flash).
- Produce 2D/3D deliverables and drafting in Revit and CAD; coordinate BIM workflows and multidisciplinary clash resolution.
- Prepare technical specifications, respond to RFIs, and maintain project documentation and engineering notebooks.
- Communicate project status and technical issues to supervisors and project teams; support schedules, budgets, and quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and design principles.
- Proficiency in engineering design and drafting software (CAD platforms) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations, prepare drawings, and produce technical documentation.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial, automotive, manufacturing, or commercial building projects.
- Familiarity with Revit, BIM workflows, and related engineering software.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.
