Lead development of Robinhood's agent platform to build scalable, trustworthy agentic AI products that act on behalf of customers and employees. Manage and grow an engineering team, set technical direction for LLM-driven agents, and partner with Legal, Compliance, and Security to operate in a regulated brokerage environment.

Role
Engineering Manager for Agentic Apps responsible for leading the team that builds Robinhood’s agent platform. You will drive the technical direction for agent orchestration, tool integration, evals, permissioning, and production reliability for LLM-driven agents that act on behalf of customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the engineering team for agentic applications: hire, grow, and set the delivery roadmap and quality bar.
- Set technical direction for agent orchestration, tool integration, eval systems, and permissioning for consequential actions.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Security to design eval-gated releases, approval flows, guardrails for money-moving actions, and audit trails.
- Own production reliability for nondeterministic systems using third-party model providers: define SLOs, fallbacks, and lead incident resolution to root causes.
- Define and drive metrics such as task completion, quality, latency, and cost per task; report numeric progress to leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years managing software engineers with demonstrated hiring, people growth, and shipping products at scale.
- Hands-on depth in LLM systems and experience shipping tool-calling agents to production; able to evaluate architectures and eval plans.
- Experience operating consumer-scale production services: SLOs, on-call, and managing external dependencies.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; ability to prioritize and set measurable roadmaps.
- Clear, direct communication across engineers, product, and executives; strong written communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits (summary)
- Base pay ranges listed by compensation zone (examples include Zone 1: $255,000–$300,000 USD; Zone 3: $199,000–$234,000 USD). Eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
