Role
Staff-level Engineering Operations Manager to own and scale GPU engineering operations across hardware and software development. This hands-on role requires direct ownership and execution of run-the-business deliverables including financial forecasting, data validation, dashboarding, operational workflows, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end GPU engineering operations (Opex/Capex planning, quarterly rolling forecasts, variance analysis, operational governance).
- Serve as primary operational interface with Finance, Business Units, and Engineering to align funding assumptions, capacity constraints, and delivery impacts.
- Partner with Finance to translate operating plans into accurate forecasts, track burn vs. plan, and identify investment trade-offs.
- Establish and enforce validation routines, standards, and audit readiness for operational data and outputs.
- Maintain operational cadence: monthly ops reporting, quarterly forecast refreshes, and urgent execution adjustments.
- Define KPIs, improve signal quality, and deliver executive-ready reporting and analytics.
- Build and iterate dashboards with Power BI/Tableau in partnership with Data Analysts, including rapid prototyping (“vibe coding”) where appropriate.
- Champion automation of recurring reporting and workflows to reduce manual effort.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of SOPs, playbooks, and onboarding assets with a Technical Writer.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small multidisciplinary team of analysts and writers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of experience in engineering operations, business operations, finance, or analytics within complex HW/SW environments (minimum qualifications include alternate degree/experience combinations listed below).
- Demonstrated ownership of run-the-business operations, financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational cadence.
- Strong financial operations acumen and experience partnering with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to ensure quality and audit readiness, including validation of operational data.
- Hands-on analytical and reporting skills using Excel and BI tools to produce executive-ready insights.
- Ability to operate in a matrixed organization and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience improving operational efficiency through automation, templates, workflows, or lightweight scripting.
- Exposure to GenAI or predictive analytics for trend detection, forecasting support, or operational summarization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Engineering Operations or related experience; OR
- Associate’s degree and 7+ years of Engineering Operations or related experience; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 9+ years of Engineering Operations or related experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $170,800.00 - $256,200.00.
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus and potential annual RSU grants.
