Role
Engineering Program Manager supporting the Adobe Firefly organization. Lead program coordination for development and release of technologies, products, features and functions; build and maintain project schedules; identify and manage dependencies and critical paths; and drive process and automation improvements across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of development and release planning for products and features in the Firefly org.
- Build project schedules, identify dependencies, assess critical paths, and negotiate timelines with internal teams and third parties.
- Facilitate discussions among product, client, and engineering teams to enable on-time delivery.
- Negotiate, persuade, and motivate extended project teams and senior management across business units; provide recommendations and clear action plans.
- Identify, track, monitor and communicate project issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies.
- Proactively assess future challenges and mobilize teams to address issues; propose workable solutions to complex problems affecting multiple groups.
- Initiate and lead change efforts (processes, tools) across multiple teams; evaluate and implement process improvements.
- Leverage data to drive decisions and adopt automation for recurring PgM tasks and workflows.
- Manage multiple competing projects independently, balancing short-term critical issues with longer-term strategic goals.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in program or project management within software/product organizations.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills; ability to operate in geographically distributed teams.
- Demonstrated autonomy, ability to multitask, and drive for results; leads by example and sets high standards.
- Familiarity with Gen AI tech stack and comfort with leveraging AI-related tools and automation in workflows.
- Good knowledge of software product development lifecycle and agile development techniques.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills; ability to bring clarity in ambiguous situations and tie team objectives to broader organizational goals.
- Experience with stakeholder management and driving cross-functional initiatives across business units.
