Job Description
Role
Enterprise Test Architect responsible for defining and owning test architecture and Quality Engineering roadmap for large-scale enterprise applications. The role focuses on building scalable Playwright-based automation frameworks, driving AI/GenAI-led test automation initiatives, integrating testing into CI/CD, and collaborating with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Security, and Business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise test strategy and Quality Engineering roadmap.
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and modern automation tools.
- Lead automation transformation initiatives across multiple enterprise programs and large digital transformation efforts.
- Architect test solutions for Web, API, microservices, cloud, and event-driven applications.
- Drive AI-powered test automation initiatives using modern AI/GenAI tools and agentic AI approaches.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and quality.
- Establish standards, governance, metrics, frameworks, and best practices across projects.
- Review solution architecture to ensure testing strategies align with enterprise requirements.
- Mentor Test Leads, Architects, and Automation Engineers and manage stakeholder communications.
Required Skills and Technologies
- Playwright (must have) and enterprise automation framework design
- Test automation for Web, API, microservices, cloud, and event-driven systems
- API testing and automation (REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI)
- CI/CD integration and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, C#
- Databases / SQL and performance/security testing experience
- Strong stakeholder management and enterprise program experience
Preferred Skills
- Agentic AI / GenAI in Quality Engineering and AI-based test optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience, leadership and mentoring
Experience
- 18+ years overall experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering
- Minimum 8+ years in Test Architecture roles
- Proven experience building Playwright-based enterprise automation frameworks and handling large, complex enterprise applications
- Domain exposure to warehouse and fulfilment operations is desirable
