About the Role

Forward Deployed Engineer responsible for deploying and customizing Jinba's workflow automation platform for enterprise customers, bridging product and client needs into working solutions. Build integrations to customer systems, resolve production issues, translate feedback into product requirements, and own technical relationships from pilot through expansion.

Job Description

Role

Technical Forward Deployed Engineer who works directly with enterprise customers to deploy and customize Jinbaโ€™s workflow automation platform. Act as the bridge between the product team and major enterprise clients to turn business needs into production solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure Jinba for enterprise customers and ensure successful adoption.
  • Work with customers to understand existing tech stacks, workflows, and requirements.
  • Build integrations connecting Jinba to customer systems (internal databases, legacy applications, enterprise software).
  • Translate customer feedback into product requirements for the engineering team.
  • Debug and resolve production issues in customer deployments.
  • Develop best practices, documentation, and reusable integration patterns from field experience.
  • Own customer technical relationships from pilot through expansion.

Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years in customer-facing technical roles (solutions engineering, implementation, consulting, or similar).
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and comfort reading/modifying frontend and backend code.

Enterprise Integration

  • Deep understanding of enterprise tech stacks (ERP systems, databases, identity providers, internal APIs).
  • Experience integrating with legacy systems and navigating complex IT environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, on-prem deployments, VPNs, SSO).

Customer & Communication Skills

  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with IT teams, business users, and executives across functions.
  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, insurance, manufacturing) is a plus.

Technical Understanding

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM products and how they behave in production.
  • Understanding of integration patterns (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines, ETL).

Signals & Mindset

  • Prior experience in similar customer-facing technical roles at consulting firms or enterprise software companies is valued.
  • Customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial, and willing to travel (~10โ€“20%).

Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000
