Role
Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (including Senior level) to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments. Engineers will own technical delivery end-to-end, provide senior technical judgment on critical deployments, and translate field experience into product and platform improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own architecture, build, and production handoff for agentic AI solutions on the Agentforce platform, including agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, and guardrails.
- Lead technical delivery for strategic customers and multiple accounts, resolving complex integration, model deployment, orchestration, and performance issues.
- Own the data lifecycle: model design, processing pipelines, and data readiness across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms.
- Build agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to track deployment health and business outcomes.
- Rapidly develop proofs-of-concept and MVPs, and codify patterns and reusable assets as internal playbooks.
- Mentor and review other engineers, influence engineering standards, and drive adoption of effective conventions.
- Pilot emerging AI tools, experiment with models and frameworks, and feed field insights back to Product and Engineering.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- Senior: 10+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with proven end-to-end ownership of production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS environments.
- Forward Deployed Engineer: 2+ years hands-on experience within the Salesforce AI ecosystem (Agentforce, Einstein AI, Data Cloud, AI-powered CRM integrations) with at least one production implementation.
- Strong Salesforce platform expertise (Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, Salesforce APIs).
- Proficiency in Apex and familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java.
- Experience with data modeling, processing, and analytics across platforms such as Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Excellent communication with engineering peers, customer architects, and executives; experience mentoring technical talent.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer engagements.
Nice-to-Haves
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Agentforce Specialist, System Architect).
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices, observability tooling, or data governance frameworks.
- Experience architecting multi-cloud, large enterprise AI solutions and influencing product roadmaps through field engineering insight.
- Open-source contributions, published technical writing, or conference presentations.
