Forward Deployed Engineering Expert (part-time)
Teaches and evaluates forward-deployed AI systems; works with agentic frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph/CrewAI), RAG, evals, and daily AI tooling.
About the Role
Part-time Forward Deployed Engineering Expert to teach and review AI deployment projects for experienced production engineers. Lead live group events and 1:1s, evaluate student deliverables against rubrics, and set the technical standard for supporting instructors, focusing on agentic systems, integrations, and production delivery.
Job Description
Role
TripleTen seeks a part-time Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Expert to deliver an FDE curriculum to working production engineers. You’ll be the senior technical presence across cohort live events, 1:1s, and workshops—reviewing projects, running solution design and delivery reviews, and acting as escalation for supporting instructors.
Key Responsibilities
- Host group live events focused on deploying AI systems inside client environments (discovery, scoping, agentic architecture, integration, rollout, adoption).
- Run 1:1 sessions and technical mock interviews for students working on projects.
- Review student projects against rubrics, including client-facing scoping, demos, and stakeholder communication.
- Set technical standards for supporting instructors and serve as their escalation point.
Requirements
- 7+ years professional engineering experience, currently at senior level or above (Senior/Lead/Staff, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or technical lead on customer-facing delivery).
- Personal ownership of end-to-end deployments in real client/enterprise environments (first call through production go-live and adoption).
- Depth across FDE responsibilities: customer discovery, scoping and delivery planning under ambiguity, stakeholder management without formal authority.
- Production experience with LLMs and agent systems (prompting, tool/function calling, orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph/LangChain/CrewAI, guardrails, evals, RAG over enterprise data).
- Experience with APIs and integrations (REST, webhooks, JSON/GraphQL), Python, and deployment on at least one major cloud.
- Ability to diagnose and critique architectures and scoping decisions live, and to explain rationale to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong technical communication and facilitation skills; English C1+.
- Comfortable using AI tools day-to-day.
Preferred Experience
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or running technical sessions (tech talks, onboarding, bootcamps, workshops).
- Experience embedded within customer teams or in customer-facing engineering roles (solutions engineer/architect, technical consultant).
- Production experience with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI) and MCP-based tool integrations.
- Experience at recognizable companies and familiarity with online education platforms or program delivery.
Logistics
- Part-time: estimated 5–15 hours per week.
- Live sessions and workshops timed around US Eastern Time (mostly 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM ET).
- Resumes/CVs requested in English.
What We Offer
- Fully remote work (live sessions scheduled in US afternoons/evenings).
- Digital collaboration tools used: Notion, Slack, Zoom.
- Professional trust and autonomy (no micromanaging).
- Diverse, international, close-knit team.
