Job Description
Role
The Forward Deployed Finance Engineer (Real Estate) is the first dedicated finance engineer for Harvey’s real estate practice. You will build the real estate playbook — demo library, workflow templates, and use cases — run live pilots, lead customer onboarding, and translate real-world deal work into repeatable, productized solutions within Harvey Deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery, demos, pilots, trainings, onboarding, and custom builds alongside Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.
- Run pilots and build screening, underwriting, diligence, and investment committee workflows in clients’ templates and formats.
- Perform deal-side work such as OM and broker package review; rent roll and T-12 normalization; lease and estoppel abstraction; ARGUS and acquisition model builds; third-party report review; comps; loan document and term sheet review; and investment committee materials.
- Bring acquisitions-team feedback into the product to shape the roadmap and ensure releases meet investment teams’ needs.
- Support post-close work including asset management reporting, loan compliance, and valuation support.
Requirements
- 3+ years on an acquisitions, asset management, or real estate credit team at a real estate private equity platform, real estate debt fund, insurer or asset-manager real estate arm, or developer-investor, with demonstrated ownership of live deal work.
- Deep familiarity with the documents and data that drive real estate investment decisions (OMs, rent rolls, T-12, leases, third-party reports, loan documents, ARGUS and Excel models).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; comfort with prompting and agentic AI workflows; ability to design repeatable automations for manual processes.
- Python, SQL, or experience building internal tools is a plus.
- Executive presence and relationship-building skills across junior to partner-level stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading live demos and workshops.
- Customer-facing experience and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a bias toward action.
Compensation
- $254,600 - $381,800 USD OTE (75/25)
Travel
- Expect to travel approximately 2–3+ times per month, typically for 1–3 days per trip.
Notes
- This role is focused on real estate investment workflows and requires principal-side deal execution experience. Reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available.
