Role
As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will embed with customers to architect, deploy, and support AI-driven agent infrastructure that accelerates robotics development. You will work hands-on in secure cloud and on-premises environments, prototype new capabilities, debug production issues, and act as the primary technical contact for customers while informing product roadmap and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy custom agents, MCP integrations, and tool interfaces to speed customers’ development cycles
- Operate within secure cloud and on-premises computing environments, meeting security and compliance requirements
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers, providing responsive support and building long-term partnerships
- Rapidly prototype features based on customer needs and translate field insights into product improvements
- Debug production issues across unfamiliar codebases and environments and drive solutions to deployment
- Collaborate with founding team on product strategy, go-to-market decisions, and company-building activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience developing backend and systems software
- Experience writing embedded software or working with robots, unmanned aircraft, autonomous vehicles, or other physical systems
- Experience building or working with LLM applications, AI agents, or developer tooling
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Comfortable diving into unfamiliar technical domains and internalizing domain-specific paradigms
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% to customer sites (U.S. and international)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or active Green Card holder; company cannot sponsor visas and works with defense industry customers

Compensation
- Salary range specified: $135,000–$200,000 per year. Total compensation may include equity, sign-on bonus, and other incentives dependent on qualifications and experience.
