Founding Product Designer

Role

Kuro is hiring a Founding Product Designer to define how construction professionals interact with data-heavy workflows and collaborate with AI. This is a high-ownership founding role working closely with the founder and engineering team to shape product culture and UX for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end user experience across complex data workflows and visual interfaces.
• Design for trust by translating AI-driven logic into clear, transparent, and confident experiences.
• Collaborate closely with founders and engineers to influence product direction and strategy.
• Build design foundations: component library, visual identity, and UX principles for a scalable enterprise product.
• Prototype and test rapidly, iterate from customer feedback to improve usability.

Past Design Challenges (examples of work)

• Create UX systems balancing automation and human review.
• Discover and translate customer taxonomy into core product building blocks.
• Design modules for automatic document versioning, change review, and contradiction detection.
• Redesign global search across large document sets and enable saving/sharing insights.
• Build Project & Risk Analysis and Interior Estimation modules to dramatically reduce time-to-insight.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing complex B2B or data-heavy products (Fintech, SaaS, AI, or similar).
• Strong product instincts; thinks in systems, flows, and jobs-to-be-done.
• Deep curiosity for customers and domain knowledge in construction is a plus.
• Experience building from 0→1 with full ownership and accountability.
• Fluent in Figma, prototyping, and “vibe-coding” tools to rapidly bring ideas to life.
• Strong attention to detail and typography; able to build enterprise-grade but pragmatic interfaces.
• Comfortable working in small, fast teams with minimal overhead.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Berlin.

Compensation

• Compensation Range: €85,000 - €130,000
