Role

The Markets division is hiring a Vice President–level GenAI Agentic Engineer to design, build, and deploy agentic solutions that automate complex front-office workflows across Sales & Trading. The role focuses on architecting autonomous agents, integrating tools and APIs, and operationalizing LLM-driven systems in production with attention to security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy agents that autonomously execute complex, multi-step business workflows, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and integrate APIs/tools to enable secure and reliable agent access to internal and external resources.
  • Develop advanced prompts and system instructions to define agent behavior, reasoning, and interaction patterns.
  • Implement state and memory management to track agent progress, maintain context, and enable learning from interactions.
  • Create frameworks for evaluation, debugging, and validation of agent reasoning and behavior.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data science, and business teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Produce high-quality software, documentation, and model validation artifacts while adhering to Agile SDLC and compliance standards.

Requirements

Required

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education).

Desired / Preferred

  • 5+ years expert-level Python and core software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with major GenAI platforms (e.g., Google Vertex AI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock) or open-source frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen).
  • Deep knowledge of LLM and API integration, including RESTful API design.
  • Experience designing complex, event-driven applications and agentic or event-driven systems in production.
  • Experience with container-based deployment (Docker, OpenShift) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular), testing, and observability best practices.
  • Strong systems thinking, cross-functional communication, and prior experience in banking/capital markets or sales & trading is a plus.
  • Strong Java development experience with modern frameworks is desired; advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a technical field is a plus.
  • “Vibe coding” experience is noted as a plus.

Compensation & Benefits (excerpt)

  • Base pay range: $159,000.00 - $305,000.00 (pay may vary based on factors like experience and location).
