Full-Stack Software Engineer

Role

Mercor is hiring a freelance Full-Stack Software Engineer to produce realistic, self-contained prompts, precise pass/fail rubrics, and high-quality vibe coding data to train AI models on client-side web development skills. The work focuses on state management, interactivity, UI correctness, and robustness for client-side web apps, games, tools, and simulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Write realistic, self-contained prompts for client-side web apps, games, tools, and simulations.
• Create precise, binary (pass/fail) rubrics tagged by verification type and verifiable via screenshot and code inspection.
• Ensure all rubric items are verifiable and written as pass/fail criteria.
• Develop high-quality vibe coding data to train models on frontend skills including state management, interactivity, UI correctness, and robustness.
• Collaborate with AI labs to improve AI model performance on real-world client-side web development tasks.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve model performance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack development or technical content creation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (or vanilla JS).
• Comfortable writing precise technical specifications and evaluation criteria.

Logistics

• Compensation: $70–$80/hour
• Location: Remote
• Duration: 1–2 months
• Time commitment: 15–25 hours/week, flexible up to 40 hours/week
