Game Design - Remote

Role

You will work as a remote independent contractor game designer focused on critiquing, experimenting with, and shaping how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows across mediums. The role emphasizes creative exploration of design workflows with frontier AI models and collaboration with a distributed team of designers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute 10–20 hours per week (with potential to increase based on performance).
• Work asynchronously with a cross-disciplinary team of designers.
• Craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows that involve AI models.
• Experiment with multimodal and immersive visual design across websites, apps, brand/marketing assets, and new media.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in graphic or UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong background in creating high-quality digital or immersive visual designs with distinct aesthetics.
• Exposure to working with LLMs, GenAI prompting, and vibe coding.
• Proficiency with creative coding tools such as HTML/CSS, Processing, and three.js.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Interview Process

• Short AI interview about your creative process.
• Portfolio review and a short writing assessment.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Engagement as an independent contractor.
• Fully remote; work on your own schedule.
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information from employers, clients, or institutions.

Schedule & Start Date

• Part-time or full-time contract options available.
• Role begins in late December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
