GenAI Solution Architect-Alibaba Cloud-Third Party

Role

The GenAI Solution Architect will design and implement Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) and cloud architectures to address complex business challenges and expand Alibaba Cloud’s market presence. The role bridges business requirements and technical delivery, supporting sales engagements and delivering deployable AI/cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the AI MaaS sales team to expand large-model engagements across HKG & MAC and global customers, driving increased token consumption and adoption.
• Engage with clients on business and technical architecture to identify needs and guide MaaS deals to closure.
• Leverage Alibaba Cloud Bailian and its large models (e.g., Qwen, Wan) and cloud services (GPU instances, PAI, ECS, databases) to design feasible AI and cloud solutions.
• Provide solution consulting across model selection, architecture design, prompt engineering, RAG implementation, and agent development tailored to industry-specific use cases (social platforms, model marketplaces, video, AI data services, enterprise productivity, etc.).
• Develop and deliver tailored demos and prototypes using prompt engineering and workflow orchestration to accelerate technical discussions and project adoption.
• Collaborate with internal AI product teams to translate customer feedback into product requirements and support resolution of critical product and operational issues for key accounts.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in AI, public cloud, or IT services, including product design/development, AI algorithm engineering, solution architecture, or pre-sales support. Experience at AI-native companies or major cloud providers preferred.
• Technical: Proficiency with large language models (Qwen, Wan, Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) and practical experience developing AI applications using mainstream frameworks and tools (Alibaba Cloud Bailian, Claude Code, LangChain, n8n, Dify, MCP, Skills, etc.). Understanding of LLM principles and hands-on model/application development experience required.
• Advanced topics: Familiarity with fine-tuning concepts (full fine-tuning, LORA, QLORA), PEFT principles, and platforms like Alibaba Cloud PAI or Hugging Face is a plus.
• Cloud & Ops: Practical experience with cloud computing and AI infrastructure, including provisioning cloud services, invoking AI models, and implementing cloud-based DevOps practices.
• Soft skills: Customer-centric, fast learner, self-motivated, adaptable to fast-paced markets, and comfortable with international travel and cross-time-zone collaboration.
