Implementation Specialist joining Collation.AI to run pre-sales proofs of concept and lead production deployments for WealthTech clients, working hands-on with financial data, databases, integrations, and automations. The role is client-facing and technical, owning end-to-end implementation outcomes across data ingestion, reconciliation, and dashboarding.

Role
Implementation Specialist (WealthTech) responsible for partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to run pre-sales Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and lead the transition to full production implementations. The role is hands-on with client data, database design, data ingestion and automation, reconciliation logic, and building analytics and UI demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales on discovery calls, scope definition, and PoC planning and success criteria.
- Receive and process client source data (bank statements, capital call notices, invoices), including PDF extraction and structured data preparation.
- Design and stand up PoC data environments: create PostgreSQL databases, define schemas, load and validate data, and document assumptions and edge cases.
- Build reporting and analytics views using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and AI-assisted UI generation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Lovable) to demonstrate value.
- Lead transition from PoC to production: harden data models, workflows, integrations, and align timelines and deliverables with client stakeholders.
- Implement automated data feeds (scheduled CSV over SFTP, REST/JSON APIs, custodian connections) and build Python-based automation bots for routine tasks.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation logic (Python/SQL) to compare and surface breaks across portfolio and accounting systems.
- Configure and support integrations with industry systems such as Addepar, Orion, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Archway, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, NetSuite, Business Central, Salesforce, HubSpot, Wealthbox, and others.
- Act as primary technical contact for implementations, manage project plans and risks, translate business requirements into implementable tasks, and coordinate handover to Customer Success.
Requirements
Must have
- Based in the United States and authorized to work for any US employer (US citizen or Green Card holder strongly preferred; no visa sponsorship).
- 2β5 years of experience in financial data, implementation, or deployment roles (implementation specialist, data analyst/engineer, reconciliation specialist, FinTech/WealthTech deployments).
- Strong hands-on experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL: schema design, SQL query writing and optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Solid Python skills for scripting, data processing, automation bots, and reconciliation logic.
- Practical experience with data feeds: CSV/Excel, SFTP, REST APIs, web-based exports, and basic ETL concepts.
- Financial data literacy (transactions, positions, cash, balances, security masters) and familiarity with basic accounting concepts (journals, GL accounts, trial balance, NAV, realized/unrealized P&L).
Nice to have
- Prior experience with RIAs, family offices, private banks, or similar wealth management firms.
- Exposure to industry tools: Addepar, Orion, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Archway, Masttro, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero, NetSuite, Business Central, Allvue, Canoe Intelligence, Bill.com, Yardi, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft stack (Azure, Power BI, SharePoint) and modern AI-assisted development tools for dashboards and lightweight UIs.
- Background in WealthTech, FinTech, SaaS, or data platform startups; comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.

Compensation & Location

- Pay: $60,000 - $85,000 per year
