Industrial Design - Remote

Role

We are seeking an Industrial Designer (independent contractor) to critique, experiment with, and shape how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows across mediums. You will craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows that leverage frontier AI models and generative tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute 10–20 hours per week (with potential for more based on performance).
• Work asynchronously with a cross-disciplinary team of designers.
• Craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows that integrate AI models and generative techniques.
• Participate in a short AI interview about creative process, portfolio review, and a writing assessment as part of the hiring process.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in graphic or UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong background in creating high-quality digital or immersive visual designs (web/apps, brand/marketing assets, advanced new media).
• Exposure to working with LLMs, GenAI prompting, and vibe coding.
• Proficiency with creative coding tools such as HTML/CSS, Processing, and three.js.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Engagement & Schedule

• Independent contractor engagement.
• Full-time or part-time contract options; typical commitment starts at 10–20 hours/week.
• Fully remote and asynchronous work; start date in late December with rolling application review.

Interview Process

• Short AI interview about your creative process.
• Short portfolio review and a writing assessment.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Engaged as an independent contractor.
• Work is fully remote and can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on needs and performance.
• Payments are issued weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
