IT Engineer

Role

Lemonade seeks an automation-minded IT Engineer to bridge IT operations and AI innovation by designing and deploying AI agents, low-code workflows, and integrations that streamline internal processes and improve team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI agents and copilots (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) that embed in Slack, ticketing systems, or custom UIs to assist IT and business teams.
• Build and maintain low-code and agentic workflows that automate manual processes, improve accuracy, and increase productivity.
• Analyze operational and support data to identify automation opportunities, own delivery from ideation to implementation, and measure business impact.
• Evangelize automation and AI through internal demos, knowledge sharing, and promoting self-service autonomous solutions.
• Maintain a living library of knowledge-base articles, self-service flows, and function libraries to reduce support demand.
• Track SaaS, security, and AI trends; present quarterly briefings to IT leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and develop tailored autonomous solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Scripting experience in TypeScript, Python, or Ruby; comfortable working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Hands-on experience building low-code solutions and working with vibe-coding and traditional code.
• Demonstrated bias for action and ability to ship MVPs quickly.
• Approximately 3 years in IT operations, automation, or engineering in a high-growth SaaS environment is a plus.
• Ability to work in the NYC office three days per week.

Location, Visa, and Candidate Restrictions

• Must be able to work in Lemonade’s NYC office 3 days per week (hybrid role).
• Company cannot sponsor work visas.

Compensation

• US base salary range for this full-time position: $120,000 - $135,000, plus equity and benefits.
