Role
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Java Developer to support a high-impact digital transformation focused on Spanish-speaking users. The role is front-end heavy (~70% UI work) and combines localization, front-end development, and legacy system modernization within a small, collaborative Agile team.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and adapt platform features into Spanish while preserving intent and usability.
- Develop and maintain front-end heavy applications (approximately 70% UI-focused).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, planning, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to system design, architecture, and code quality practices.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner closely with bilingual engineers to solve localization challenges.
- Ensure UI/UX integrity when handling language-based layout differences (e.g., text expansion, layout constraints).
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Spanish with the ability to code across languages.
- Strong understanding of how language translation impacts UI/UX and application logic.
- Experience working with both legacy systems and modern frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Java (Spring ecosystem) and React-based front ends.
- Experience navigating localization challenges such as text expansion and layout constraints.
