Junior Full Stack Developer

Role

Hiring a Junior Full Stack Developer for a 1099 contract (6–12 months minimum) to design, build, and maintain scalable web and internal applications for a client in Lower Manhattan. The position emphasizes vibe coding using tools such as Claude and Cursor, requires architectural experience, and is targeted at recent graduates or early-career developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable web and in-house applications using vibe coding methods (Claude, Cursor, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Implement new features and improve existing functionality; write clean, readable, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs promptly.
• Work with the DevOps team to ensure deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Implement and maintain database structures using SQL and Oracle.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
• Stay current with software development trends and apply relevant improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, JavaScript, and SQL; experience with C++ is a plus.
• Architectural/architect experience (designing system architecture) is required.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and general software development principles.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Oracle Cloud is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with code reviews and contributing to open-source projects preferred.

Logistics

• Employment type: 1099 contract (no benefits).
• Duration: Minimum 6–12 months with opportunity to extend or convert to full-time.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday; hybrid remote in New York, NY.
• Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour.
