Lead Salesforce Engineer responsible for the architecture, design, and evolution of Salesforce and CRM solutions supporting MongoDB’s post-sales business processes (Customer Success, Support, Renewals, Services, account management). The role requires technical leadership, hands-on Salesforce development, platform governance, integrations, and mentoring of engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable Salesforce solutions for post-sales teams.
- Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and scalable technical solutions aligned with platform strategy.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product, and engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
- Oversee integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise platforms to ensure reliable data flow and design.
- Drive platform optimization (performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, governance).
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for coding, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and release management.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues and deliver long-term resolutions.
- Maintain technical documentation (architecture decisions, design specifications, implementation details).
- Identify process and technical gaps; drive tech debt reduction, platform modernization, and engineering efficiency.
- Leverage AI-powered engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Salesforce engineering, application development, or technical leadership within global SaaS organizations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, integrations, and Salesforce platform customization.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, governor limits, design patterns, and scalable solution design.
- Experience designing or supporting Salesforce solutions for post-sales functions (Customer Success, Support, Renewals, Services, customer lifecycle management).
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification required; Salesforce Certified Application Architect and Salesforce Certified System Architect strongly preferred.
Success Measures
- 3 months: Understand MongoDB’s Salesforce ecosystem, post-sales processes, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
- 6 months: Lead technical design and delivery of critical Salesforce initiatives for post-sales workflows and be recognized as a technical leader.
- 12 months: Serve as the go-to technical leader for Salesforce architecture and platform strategy for post-sales systems and elevate team engineering practices.
