We are hiring a Senior/Lead Data Engineer to build and maintain data products and pipelines that support Dentsu’s marketing solutions. The role emphasizes rapid feature delivery using Agile methodologies and AI-assisted coding, collaboration across teams, and operational support for client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Agile methodologies and AI tools for rapid feature releases.
- Research and introduce new solutions and technologies, including contributions to Snowflake Native App development.
- Design, implement, test, review, and deliver solutions following CI/CD and SDLC best practices.
- Coordinate with other teams as part of a larger data-sharing system.
- Engage in quality assurance and thorough testing.
- Write clear user and technical documentation and communicate business needs effectively.
- Resolve production issues, participate in on-call support, onboard clients, and liaise with client teams.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in software development.
- Strong database fundamentals and SQL skills; experience with relational and non-relational data models.
- Proficient in object-oriented languages: Java and Python.
- Experience with big data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake preferred; Hadoop a plus).
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS preferred; GCP, Azure also referenced).
- Familiarity with data processing workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks).
- Proficient in Agile development, Vibe Coding, issue tracking (JIRA), code repositories (Git, Bitbucket), testing methodologies, and continuous integration.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, Unix command line, and Bash scripting.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
