Role
Airtable is hiring a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to embed within strategic customer organizations and deliver technical solutions that accelerate adoption and drive organizational transformation. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that combines solution architecture, rapid prototyping, and executive-level advisory to expand use cases and inform product direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic customers to understand business processes, operations, and goals
- Identify and deliver high-impact technical solutions that produce measurable business results
- Rapidly prototype and deploy custom solutions to accelerate time-to-value and adoption
- Lead innovation and solution ideation workshops with key customers
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, translating Airtable’s value into customer-specific language
- Guide clients through building custom solutions, adoption strategies, and change management
- Provide product feedback to influence Airtable’s roadmap and evangelize new use cases, including AI adoption
- Reduce churn risk by establishing trust and technical expertise
- Travel to customer sites as needed
Requirements
- 5–7 years in SaaS pre-sales, implementation, or customer-facing roles in enterprise environments
- 7–10 years of combined technology and sales experience, ideally with large, flexible platforms
- Experience managing sales cycles and technical evaluations
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of business operations across industries
- Hands-on technical builder: experience architecting, prototyping, and developing custom solutions
- Deep understanding of relational database architecture and enterprise integration methodologies
- Active AI user and implementer; familiarity with LLMs and vibe coding
- Comfortable with public speaking, storytelling, and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Passion for low-code/no-code applications and emerging technologies
- Familiarity with process/persona mapping and design tools such as Lucid, Figma, Mural, and Miro
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic, customer-centric environments
