Job Description
Role
As a Legal Engineer you will build the juristic infrastructure for Jurafuchs: independent web portals, internal tools and AI-supported features that encode legal logic. You will take ownership from idea to launch and be involved in architecture and strategic product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of new portals and subdomains (e.g., gesetze.jurafuchs.de, lehre.jurafuchs.de) from concept to launch.
- Build custom software and internal tools that model legal logic (examination schemas, domain models, AI-assisted tools).
- Translate legal requirements directly into functioning software without intermediaries.
- Influence architecture and roadmap decisions; work closely with a founder and the in-house Legal Engineer.
Requirements
- First state law exam (Erstes Staatsexamen) completed.
- Experience in product management, ideally within LegalTech.
- Ability to independently build web portals and custom software.
- Strong understanding of database structures and knowledge/domain modeling for scalable legal content.
- Deep familiarity with AI and an affinity for rapid, iterative development (described as “vibe-coding”).
- Product-minded: you define what to build, for whom, and why, and maintain oversight after launch.
What to know
- You will join at a stage where many portals and tools do not yet exist and will need to be designed from scratch.
- Close collaboration with founders and the Legal Engineer; significant responsibility from day one.
Work setup / Culture
- 100% remote with flexible working hours and an outcome-focused approach.
- Fast release cadence (weekly feature delivery) and an AI-first mentality.
- Team retreats twice a year in Europe.
