About the Role
Lead product design for BrowserStack’s Automation Testing suite, setting design direction, building AI-augmented workflows, and delivering end-to-end experiences across high-scale cloud testing products. Act as a hands-on design manager who mentors the team, partners with PMs and engineering, and drives design systems and agentic workflows.

Role
Manager - Product Design for the Automation Testing product suite (based in Mumbai, remote-first). Lead design direction across products like Automate, App Automate, visual testing (Percy/App Percy), test reporting & analytics, and load testing. Champion AI-augmented and agentic workflows that accelerate design-to-code delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and evolve design direction and systems for high-scale cloud testing products.
- Architect AI-led and agentic workflows to improve delivery from research and prototyping through production-ready handoffs.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and quantify impact using user research and metrics (NPS, interviews, customer feedback).
- Act as a player-coach: execute high-stakes design work personally while mentoring and growing the design team.
- Create standards and documentation consumable by engineering and agentic systems to ensure visual and functional consistency.
- Lead planning, execution, and tracking of team workstreams; set development plans and foster AI-first ways of working.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in interaction design, UI/UX, or product design, including 3+ years in a design leadership role.
- Proven experience designing for complex, high-scale cloud platforms.
- Deep fluency at the intersection of design systems and engineering; prior hands-on development experience (frontend or backend) is expected.
- Comfortable with vibe-coding and rapid prototyping using modern tooling (examples called out include Replit, Cursor, and similar tools).
- Strong strategic leadership, ability to derive insights from qualitative and quantitative research, prioritize effectively, and rally cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong visual design sensibility, attention to micro-interactions, typography, and delightful product details.
- Self-motivated, resilient, adaptable to ambiguity, and an early adopter of AI technologies.

- Remote-first role; candidates must be based in Mumbai.
