Role
Manager - Product Design responsible for leading a small team of product designers, researchers, and design system specialists to shape UX quality and consistency across multiple products. The role emphasizes AI‑augmented design, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), design systems, research-driven decisions, and close collaboration with Product and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day work of a 3–4 person UX team (product designers, researchers, design system specialists).
- Manage UX roadmaps across several products, including capacity planning, project planning, sequencing, and delivery management.
- Use research, discovery, and metrics to drive decisions and measure design quality and user impact.
- Elevate designers to trusted UX advisors within agile teams and negotiate competing priorities across stakeholders.
- Coach and develop designers on research planning and delivery, UX ideation and methods, use of AI in UX, accessibility, design system adherence, and career growth.
- Apply AI to accelerate research, ideation, accessibility checks, and design-to-dev workflows.
- Analyze research data and success metrics in Excel.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product or UX design experience, including 3+ years of people leadership.
- Real-world experience leading teams in AI-driven design and using AI as part of everyday workflows.
- Strong design leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Expert-level Figma skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with accessibility testing (WCAG 2.2 AA), design systems, and structured planning.
- Proven track record shipping large-scale SaaS product experiences and working cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering.
Nice-to-have / Preferred
- Experience with Pendo, Asana, Aha!, Metabase, or Salesforce.
- Experience in government technology (G2C) or large-scale government-facing products.
- BA in a related field (optional).
Location & Hours
- Fully remote role based in Bengaluru, India. Shifted hours may be required based on product and customer needs.
